Virtools


Virtools is a multi-platform 3D authoring and editing suite which has been under implementation in the UM3D Lab for the last two years for use as the CAVE's primary content generation and display tool.

Virtools' free webplayer, 3D Life Player, is required to view the following test ports of 3DSMax data into Virtools.

Stadium ~7MB

Our first test port. A sample of some 3D Lab models in Michigan Stadium allows the viewer to move a simple avatar around the environment.

Antioch ~16MB

The ancient Roman city of Antioch, located in modern day Turkey.
This model was developed by a team of graduate students for the Kelsey Museum.
